Birmingham Bombings Anniversary

Euan Uncategorized

Today is a historic occasion, the 42nd anniversary of the Birmingham pub bombings. Tonight we had Paddy Hill of the Birmingham 6, relatives of other members of the Birmingham six, and relatives of those who died in the pub bombings, all in the same room for the first time., for a reading of the play, Paddy Hill, I Confess.
ITV Central News ran this piece to mark the occasion:

Paddy Hill attends reading of a new play about his life. It’s widely thought the bombs were planted by the IRA but at the time no one admitted responsibility for the atrocity. Nor has anyone been brought to justice, and to this day the attack remains the largest unsolved mass murder on the British mainland.
