Were Your Parents Wrongfully Convicted? Take Part in a New Study
Were Your Parents Wrongfully Convicted?
There have been numerous studies examining the effects of wrongful conviction on miscarriage victims. Some have taken a general overview, while others have investigated the family unit. However, the effects of wrongful conviction on individual children have not yet been documented. If you were a child when your parent was unjustly incarcerated, you can share your story by participating in a new research study.
In order to fully understand your experience, we need to speak for approximately 90 minutes. These discussions will be conducted face-to-face (whenever possible), over the phone, or on Skype. Participants will not be required to do or say anything that they do not feel comfortable with. The conversation has been designed simply to get to know you, to hear your story, to learn about your experience, and to attempt to make sense of the emotional responses to being the child of a wrongfully convicted parent. All information gathered during meetings will be strictly confidential.
